Help and FAQ
Find answers regarding the rental process and how Bingo-Rent works
What is the Rental Deposit Surety?
The Rental Deposit Surety is a modern alternative to a traditional deposit, utilized for years in many mature European markets.
Instead of paying the full deposit amount, the tenant utilizes the Bingo-Rent surety and pays a small subscription fee. If they are already renting an apartment, they can recover the funds frozen in the deposit by substituting it with the Bingo-Rent surety.
Benefits for the tenant:
- no need to freeze funds for a deposit or the capability to recover them
- increased financial liquidity and more funds for moving and furnishing the apartment
- simpler access to rental offers where the deposit amount would pose a barrier
Benefits for the landlord:
- greater security thanks to evaluating the candidate's credibility before signing the agreement
- faster lease finalization by eliminating the deposit as one of the primary barriers for the tenant
- transparent cooperation and settlement rules that mitigate the risk of misunderstandings between the landlord and the tenant
What does the process of using Bingo-Rent look like?
You can use Bingo-Rent in two situations:
- Before signing a new lease agreement, the tenant and landlord agree on the lease terms, including the deposit amount. The process can be started by both the tenant and the landlord, who invites their tenant to use the Bingo-Rent Rental Deposit Surety. After a positive verification, the landlord receives a Rental Deposit Surety Certificate, and the final step is accepting the agreement terms online.
- During an ongoing lease agreement, if the tenant and landlord want to replace a previously paid deposit with the Bingo-Rent Rental Deposit Surety, they can go through an analogous process. Thanks to this, the tenant recovers the funds frozen in the deposit from the landlord, and the landlord still uses the agreed form of security, receiving the Rental Deposit Surety Certificate.
How to activate the service? How long does it take?
Activating the service is fully online and usually takes just a few minutes.
The final timeframe depends primarily on smoothly passing through the subsequent stages and the acceptance of required actions by both parties.
The process can be initiated by either the tenant or the landlord.
To activate the service:
- register an account and fill out a short application,
- go through the identity and financial credibility verification process,
- after a positive verification, pay a one-time fee of PLN 249 (initiation fee PLN 199 + administrative fee PLN 50),
- accept the agreement terms online.
Is the consent of both parties required to use Bingo-Rent?
Yes. The Rental Deposit Surety is based on the cooperation of the tenant and the landlord, which is why the decision to use the service is made together.
Bingo-Rent guides both parties through the entire process, from verification and signing the agreement to a transparent settlement after the lease ends. Because of this, you as a tenant can avoid paying a deposit or recover previously paid funds, while the landlord keeps the agreed form of security.
Can I join Bingo-Rent during an ongoing lease agreement?
Yes. You can also use Bingo-Rent during an active lease agreement, provided you and your landlord jointly decide to replace the traditional deposit with the Rental Deposit Surety.
Thanks to this, you get back the funds previously paid as a deposit to the landlord, and the landlord receives the Rental Deposit Surety Certificate to continue utilizing the agreed form of security.
This solution works perfectly when both parties have a good relationship and want to free up the funds frozen in the deposit, while keeping the security and clear cooperation rules intact.
Is the Rental Deposit Surety valid for the entire lease period?
Yes. The Rental Deposit Surety is valid for the entire duration of the lease agreement specified in the application, up to a maximum of 5 years.
After the lease ends, it remains valid for a period specified in the Terms and Conditions, giving both parties time for a peaceful and transparent conclusion and settlement of the lease.
What will be needed to submit an application?
To register, you need your ID document details and a bank account number – this data is verified, and an assessment of the applicant is generated based on it.
The entire process has been designed using proven technological solutions, while maintaining high standards of security and data protection.
What does the end of the lease with Bingo-Rent look like?
After the lease ends, Bingo-Rent guides the tenant and the landlord through a transparent settlement process, helping both parties smoothly conclude the lease.
If the parties have no reservations against each other, the service is concluded. If issues requiring clarification arise, both parties have the opportunity to present their stance, and the subsequent process proceeds according to the rules defined in the Terms and Conditions.
Does the Rental Deposit Surety replace a traditional deposit?
Yes. The Rental Deposit Surety substitutes the traditional deposit in the amount agreed upon between the tenant and the landlord, up to a maximum amount of 10,000 PLN.
Because of this, the tenant does not have to pay a deposit when signing a new lease agreement or can recover funds previously paid to the landlord, swapping them with the Bingo-Rent Rental Deposit Surety.
How much does using Bingo-Rent cost?
The cost of the service depends on the deposit amount and your chosen subscription plan.
Example for a deposit of PLN 4,000:
- Monthly plan: PLN 48/month
- Annual plan: PLN 480
At the start, a one-time fee of PLN 249 is charged (initiation fee PLN 199 + administrative fee PLN 50).
In return, the tenant does not have to freeze PLN 4,000 for a deposit, or can recover this amount during the lease agreement.
What does the subscription amount depend on?
The subscription amount depends on the Rental Deposit Surety amount, which is the deposit value agreed upon between you and the landlord.
To quickly check the cost of the service, use the calculator available on the Bingo-Rent website. After entering the deposit amount, you will instantly see the subscription price for both the monthly and annual options.
This way, you can consciously compare the cost of the service with the deposit amount that you don't have to pay when signing a new lease, or that you can recover by replacing it with the Bingo-Rent Rental Deposit Surety.
Can I pay monthly or annually?
Yes. You can not only choose to pay upfront for the whole year or pick a monthly subscription, but you can also change your chosen payment method for the service later.
What does the tenant verification involve?
To use the Rental Deposit Surety, you go through an identity and financial credibility verification process.
The financial credibility assessment is prepared by our partner using reputable solutions like KRD (Polish National Debt Register) and Kontomatik. Bingo-Rent does not analyze your bank account history and strictly receives the assessment result prepared by the partner.
The entire process happens with your consent and maintains the highest standards of security and personal data protection.
What can I do if my verification is negative?
A negative verification result doesn't always mean the end of the process. You can indicate an additional tenant, like a family member or another person who will jointly participate in the lease agreement.
This allows people who do not meet all the criteria independently, for example, due to a short work history or a lack of documented income, to still utilize the Rental Deposit Surety.
If the additional tenant also fails to meet the verification process requirements, launching the service will not be possible.
What does the tenant verification include?
The verification encompasses identity confirmation and a financial credibility assessment using solutions from reputable partners like NDR (National Debt Register) and Kontomatik. The whole process takes place with the user's consent and in accordance with current personal data protection regulations.
The process involves confirming identity and evaluating financial credibility based on bank account data.
Thanks to this, the landlord receives reliable data that allows them to make a sound decision and effectively evaluate the potential candidate's reliability prior to signing the agreement.
Is the Rental Deposit Surety safe?
Yes. The Rental Deposit Surety is a proven solution applied for years in mature rental markets, including Switzerland. At Bingo-Rent, security is guaranteed by multi-stage tenant verification, an electronic surety, and clearly defined rules of cooperation.
Up to what amount does the surety cover me?
The Rental Deposit Surety amount matches the deposit value agreed upon between the tenant and the landlord and can range from PLN 500 up to a maximum of PLN 10,000. This ensures that the surety amount is always tailored to the conditions of a specific lease agreement.
In what situations is the Rental Deposit Surety used?
The Rental Deposit Surety is applicable in situations related to the deposit settlement after the lease concludes, in accordance with the conditions defined in the lease agreement and the Bingo-Rent Terms and Conditions.
In practice, it may cover, among other things, dues resulting from the lease agreement, such as damage to the leased property, outstanding rent, or other agreed fees.
Does this model work in other countries?
Yes. Solutions substituting a traditional deposit with a surety have been operating for years in many mature rental markets, such as Switzerland.
For tenants, this presents the ability to avoid freezing funds for a deposit. Landlords, conversely, obtain not only an alternative form of security but, equally crucially, a more organized rental process and clear settlement rules after its termination. Due to this, the risk of misunderstandings between the parties is curtailed, and the owner is not required to store and settle the deposit throughout the entire duration of the agreement.
Bingo-Rent introduces this proven model to the Polish market, modifying it to local regulations and the necessities of rental market participants.
What does the settlement of the Rental Deposit Surety look like after the lease ends?
Following the conclusion of the lease agreement, Bingo-Rent guides the tenant and the landlord through a transparent settlement process. After determining the dues arising from the lease agreement, the settlement occurs in line with the terms of the granted Rental Deposit Surety and up to the amount covered by this surety. The objective of the process is an efficient and transparent lease settlement.
Does the Rental Deposit Surety change the scope of the tenant's responsibility?
No. The scope of the tenant's responsibility remains the same as with a traditional deposit. The tenant is fully responsible for their obligations arising from the lease agreement, and the role of the Rental Deposit Surety is to ensure a transparent settlement process and to execute the surety in accordance with its terms.
What to do if the parties do not agree on the settlement after the lease ends?
Bingo-Rent guides the tenant and the landlord through a transparent settlement process after the lease ends. Most situations should conclude at the stage where both parties jointly agree on the settlement.
If any party needs additional clarification, the further process proceeds in accordance with the rules defined in the Terms and Conditions.

Currently, Bingo-Rent can be used by individuals holding a PESEL number and a Polish ID card. The identity and financial credibility verification is carried out based on data from NDR (National Debt Register), which relies on these documents.
